BFA in Game Development with career interest in Game Design

Focus is Level Design in Unreal Engine 4

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Joe grew up in the 90’s playing video games such as The Legend of Zelda, Mario and Final Fantasy. Captivated by their stories, music, and challenging levels, Joe was inspired to one day create games of his own. Now that he has leveled up his skillset with a BFA from Academy of Art University, he is ready to create games that inspire a new generation of gamers. 

In his studies at Academy of Art, Joe has become familiar with several aspects of game development, including using game engines like Unreal Engine 4, GDevelop and Unity to prototype 2D and 3D games and levels. He is also familiar with visual blueprints and C# scripting, as well as designing for systems, audio, narrative, and UI/UX. Joe's specialty, however, is in creating 2D and 3D levels for the adventure RPG genre.
